Performance portfolio

 

In 2024 my third graphic novel ‘The Islands Where We Left Our Ancestors’ came out and I adapted it into an audiovisual storytelling performance with music by Natalya Bing and we toured it across the Northern Territory, Melbourne, Canberra, NSW and across Tasmania. In 2024 ~ I worked on the sound for Keia McGrady’s dance performance Charcoal, produced by Performing Lines.

Theatre Projects in 2023 that I collaborated on are - Street Pavilion by Feras Shaheen, The Line by Nathan Maynard, A Mouthful of ‘C’ Words directed by Chris Mead.

The Quoll - 2021

The Quoll - a major performance at Mona Foma 2021 held at St Davids Cathedral: Bing/Santospirito perform a live soundtrack to an film created out of Joshua’s paintings and also starring artist Sally Rees as The Quoll. One part speculative fictional spell-casting and one part elegy to a lost landscape.

The Long weekend in alice springs

A live performance adapted from Joshua’s 2013 graphic novel. This performance was featured at Mona Foma 2016 and Something Somewhere Film Festival 2017 in Alice Springs.

Theatre performance created in 2011 with live-drawing and projections by award-winning cartoonist Christopher Downes and music by Joshua Santospirito. Performed many times at several festivals and events.
